Remastered using the latest minting technology, this 2024-dated issue takes its inspiration from the original Guinea of Charles II’s reign, issued in 1663. Just like the 17th century original, the reverse features four crowned shields, arranged like a cross or ‘cruciform,’ quartered by two ceremonial Sceptres, to represent the monarch’s sovereignty after years of Cromwell’s republic.
