On its reverse, just like the original 19th century masterpiece, is the classic depiction of England’s patron saint, Saint George slaying the Dragon, complete with a garter belt and a raised inscription around the edge, remastered using modern-day minting techniques. Meanwhile, the UK’s first official coinage portrait of His Majesty the King by sculptor Martin Jennings is on the obverse.
